Question by cherryapplemilk: How much will it cost a day to travel round europe?
How much would it cost per day for two 18 year olds to travel round Europe? Not including travel because we will have a Inter Rail Card.

Just food, accommodation and anything else we’ll need. We refuse to share a room with anyone else, twin or double rooms only.

I assume the price will vary according to country. We will be going to both Western and Eastern Europe. Thank you!!!!

I cannot exactly say how much it would cost in euro dollars but you could do it for less than $ 100 (US) a day. BUT I had a friend who recently went to Europe with her boyfriend… they decided it was a once off travel chance so they were not going to care too much about the dollar (within reason) and just enjoy themselves. They met up with another couple of friends who were doing the holiday on a strict budget. They were living off beer and chips. They could do not other sight seeing but that on foot and we staying in the worst places.

So my advice to you is to over budget your holiday. Save up a little more for a little longer so you can really enjoy yourself. Europe can be expensive in some areas and dirt cheap in others. So save your money for the expensive cities so you can really enjoy what they have to offer and then you can relax a little in the less expensive cities.
