You’ve expressed an interest in Germany, France, and England, which are three of the more expensive countries.
I suggest looking at budget hotels on this website: www.hostelworld.com to get an idea of the cost of staying at these places, and allow about €75 a day at least for other expenses, including travel. If you’re very frugal, you should be okay. Campsites are even cheaper than budget hotels, but the weather in England might not be conducive to sleeping outdoors.
England uses the pound sterling, by the way, it’s not in the eurozone.

@sestrensaz That is in England mate.
At least in Portugal, Spain and France, all the cars come only in kph. Tourists would still not have a problem, because both the speedometer of the car and the signs are in kph. They would only need to do the math to satisfy their own curiosity.
@EnjoyFirefighting SAME HERE!
heard from a friend that came from the Netherlands to Germany and he said it took almost 100km until he realized that the city “Ausfahrt” isn’t a city but the exit ^^
@RickSteves Love your videos so informational and to the point. Thanks.
rick acts so cool!!
@sestrensaz it doesnt matter
I live in England and from my experience most (if not all) European cars (even ones made by American manufacturers like Ford) have mph and kph marked on the speedo so it’s probably best not to freak out would-be tourists by telling them they need to do quick maths to work out if they are breaking the law or not!
Well, that’s Driving in Germany, not in Europe. Try to find that signs in Italy, Spain, Portugal, France,…
I’d like to see Part II to this video… driving in Ireland!
