Travel South America | Backpacking South America: 14 countries 7 months.
A compilation of our 7 months backpacking around every country in South America. Started in Colombia and travelled clockwise all around the continent until we got back to Colombia. Countries visited: Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guyana, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Falkland Islands, Chile, Boliva, Peru and Ecuador. Trying to upload again in the hope that youtube won’t block my audio this time around.

Question by Blue Screen of Death: If I where to travel to South America on a seed collecting trip, when would I go?
When do most plants have seeds that can be collected and grown later?
(legal plants only please)

It depends on where in South America you are planning on going. South America has everything from tropical to temperate to glacial climates, and of course, seeds will be available at different times of the year. You may want to do some customs or USDA inquires if you are planning to take seeds back the the US. Most unprocessed plant materials, which would include seeds, are not allowed into the country without special permitting, if at all. I expect that most countries have the same type of laws.

Yo man, a friend and I are planning to do this exact thing, did you ever consider working in some of the places to earn more cash to stay longer?
@bossz4 $9000 each, mate.
Didn’t really research anywhere. Just got a map and decided to go clockwise. We were playing it by ear all the time. Mind you, a Lonely Planet comes in handy….
